Welcome! I’m Silvia, a qualified psychodynamic queer and sex-affirming therapist offering a calm, reflective space where you can explore what feels difficult, confusing, or stuck in your life. I work with adults who want to better understand themselves, their relationships, and the emotional patterns that shape their experiences.
My approach is grounded in warmth, curiosity, and respect for your individual story. I believe meaningful change happens when you feel truly heard and understood.
Why Work With Me?
Reaching out for support can feel daunting, especially when you’ve been carrying things on your own for a long time. You may be feeling overwhelmed by anxiety or low mood, struggling in relationships, coping with loss, or noticing that past experiences are affecting how you see yourself and move through the world. Many people come to therapy feeling stuck, confused, or unsure why certain patterns keep repeating, even when they are trying their best.
I understand how difficult it can be to put words to these experiences and to ask for help. In our work together, I offer a safe and compassionate space where you don’t need to have everything figured out. Working psychodynamically means we gently explore both your present difficulties and the deeper emotional patterns shaped by past relationships and experiences. Through this process, clients often gain greater self-understanding, emotional relief, and a stronger sense of resilience and agency in their lives.
How I Work:
– I offer a confidential, non-judgemental space where you can speak freely
– Sessions are collaborative and tailored to your needs and pace
– I support clients in developing greater self-awareness, emotional clarity, and self-compassion
– I work primarily online, making therapy accessible wherever you are in the UK
Clients often come to me with anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, relationship issues, grief, identity questions, or a general sense of feeling stuck.
I am trained in psychodynamic counselling and psychotherapy and engage in regular clinical supervision and ongoing professional development. I work ethically and thoughtfully, placing your wellbeing at the centre of the therapeutic process. I am a registered member of the Complementary Medical Association (CMA).
