Topaz – Crystal Healing

The name may come from Topazios island in the Red Sea where topaz was first mined. It is often believed to be helpful for those ‘of a negative nature’.

Colour and description

Topaz can be blue, green, or deep yellow.

Where is it found

Brazil, Mexico, and Sri Lanka.

Hardness: 8

(Talc is the softest at number 1 and diamond the hardest at number 10.)

Structure: Orthorhombic crystalline structure.

Uses

Crystal healers use topaz to treat the following conditions:

Balance the emotions: Especially those of a negative nature such as anger, jealousy, or worry.

Gout.

Blood disorders: Including haemorrhages.

Appetite: Improves appetite, and stimulates sense of taste.
