I’m a Nature‑Driven Burnout Recovery Coach, Certified Transformational Trauma‑Informed Coach, Holistic Practitioner, and NLP Specialist. I’m also the founder of Nord‑Essence, a rewilding‑based approach to burnout recovery shaped by the rugged beauty and quiet steadiness of the Peak District, where I live and work.
My work is rooted in lived experience. After losing my dad at 17, I spent over a decade in a double tango with burnout. First through delayed grief that landed me in hospital. Later through a quieter erosion of self that looked like showing up, getting sh*t done, and feeling like a ghost in my own life. I didn’t see burnout coming the second time because I was doing all the “right” things. That’s the kind of burnout I specialise in now: the covert kind that hides behind competence, kindness, and keeping it all together.
My practice is grounded, compassionate, and shaped by the truth that healing won’t be found in hustle disguised as wellness. I support the women who feel overwhelmed, wired‑and‑tired, overstretched, and one minor inconvenience away from imploding. The ones who are sick of being the strong ones. The hold‑it‑all‑together ones. The ones whose struggles go unnoticed because everything looks “fine” from the outside. My work is about guiding high functioning but quietly burnt out women back to safety, capacity, and a sense of self that feels real again.
Nord‑Essence is a sanctuary for women ready to stop pretending they’re “fine” when they are anything but. A place to drop the mask and quietly rediscover their wild, authentic selves, held by the landscape of the Peak District and with the support of someone who’s walked the burnout recovery path herself.
When I’m not busy holding space for women in burnout recovery, you’ll usually find me out in the Peaks camping with my husband in our bright blue VW Caddy… or curled up at home with a coffee, a cat on my lap, and a good book I can disappear into.
