Luma Via is a professional education and retreat school specializing in grief, somatic practice, and embodied approaches to loss. Founded by Dr. Naomi Sanderovsky, Professor of Death & Dying, grief theorist, Certified Grief Educator, and Somatic Facilitator, Luma Via brings together contemporary grief theory, somatic education, attachment, relational approaches, cultural perspectives, and nondual inquiry.

Its CMA-accredited Embodied Grief Practitioner Certification is a 60-hour professional training designed for practitioners, educators, coaches, and helping professionals seeking a deeper, embodied understanding of grief. The program explores contemporary grief models, the distinction and overlap between grief and trauma, nervous-system and somatic approaches, attachment and continuing bonds, cultural and collective grief, ethics and scope of practice, and Dr. Sanderovsky’s original frameworks, including Living Grief Theory and Felt Sense Dynamics.

Training is available online and in hybrid formats combining online study with immersive residential learning at Luma Via in the Sierra Nevada foothills of California.
