Transpersonal Therapist | Clinical Hypnotherapist | Trauma-Informed Practitioner
I am a Transpersonal Therapist, Clinical Hypnotherapist and trauma-informed practitioner with more than a decade of experience working with the subconscious, emotional and embodied patterns that shape how we experience ourselves, our relationships and our lives.
People often come to therapy knowing a great deal about themselves.
They may understand where a pattern began, recognise their triggers and be able to explain why they respond in certain ways – yet find that when life actually happens, the same anxiety, overthinking, hypervigilance, relationship patterns or protective responses return.
My work is interested in that gap between understanding something and actually experiencing it differently.
I integrate clinical hypnotherapy, transpersonal therapy, somatic and trauma-informed approaches, nervous-system understanding and parts-based work to explore what may be happening beneath the presenting problem.
Rather than approaching you as something that needs to be fixed, we become curious about the patterns and responses your system has learned, what they may have been protecting or organising around, and how they continue to influence the way you experience and respond to life today.
My work commonly includes:
• Anxiety, overthinking and difficulty switching off
• Hypervigilance and chronic self-protection
• Emotional overwhelm, shutdown and feeling disconnected from yourself
• Repeating relationship and attachment patterns
• People-pleasing, perfectionism and difficulties with boundaries
• Self-trust, identity and periods of significant life transition
• The effects of trauma and overwhelming experiences
• Feeling stuck despite considerable self-awareness or previous therapeutic work
• Developing greater capacity to experience uncertainty, emotion, relationships and change
My approach is experiential as well as reflective. Alongside understanding why something happens, we pay attention to what is happening in the present — in the body, nervous system, emotions, thoughts and responses – so that patterns can become something you notice rather than simply something you know about intellectually.
Over the past decade, this clinical work has also informed my wider exploration of human experience, capacity and relationship, including the development of Encounter.
I work privately with adults in London and online.
