As a voluntary registry, it accredits qualified yoga teachers and teacher training programs that meet rigorous standards, ensuring excellence in education and practice.

Founded in 2010 in the UK (this year is proudly celebrating its 15th Anniversary) by a group of world-renowned yogis and visionary entrepreneurs, Yoga Alliance International first expanded into the Australian and New Zealand markets, rapidly becoming the most respected, influential, and largest Yoga Alliance organisation in Oceania and its surrounding regions thanks to its innovative approach and unwavering commitment to high-quality standards. Building on this success, the organisation later relocated its headquarters to the UK while expanding its global reach, including in the U.S. The organisation has continuously refined its brand positioning and is dedicated to staying at the forefront of an evolving yoga landscape.
