Smaller Award-winning companies were also shown to have experienced a 63% increase in operating income, and a 39% growth in sales when compared to non-winners.1

This prestigious Award honours a long-standing CMA Member whose career has left an indelible mark on complementary medicine. From advancing the profession to mentoring the next generation, this individual embodies a lifetime of dedication, innovation, and advocacy much like the extraordinary lady for whom this Award is named. Roberta MacMillan FCMA is The CMA’s former Vice President of Membership and served The CMA for 18 years and her contribution to complementary medicine is inestimable and she has done so much to shape the profession as it is today!
Criteria: You – or your nominee – will have clearly demonstrated career longevity, made landmark contributions to the field, will have offered mentorship excellence, and advocacy for complementary medicine.
Practitioner of the Year Award
For Outstanding Clinical Excellence
This CMA Award highlights a Practitioner who has gone above and beyond in delivering exceptional client care, demonstrating clinical expertise, and making a tangible impact in their community. This is the ultimate recognition for those who inspire trust and transform lives.

Open to everyone working in the complementary medical / natural health field. Rising Star Award
Spotlighting Tomorrow’s Leaders
This CMA Award recognises an emerging talent in complementary medicine—a Practitioner, Student or Researcher making waves early in their career. With exceptional promise and fresh perspectives, they are shaping the future of the profession.

Community Service Award

CMA Training School of the Year Award

This Award honours a CMA Registered Training School that has excelled in shaping future Practitioners. With innovative teaching, inspiring curricula, and exceptional Student feedback, they’re setting the standard for education in the field.

Best Complementary Medicine Clinic / Spa / Retreat Award

This Award celebrates a CMA Registered Clinic, Spa or Retreat that delivers exceptional client experiences, offers a singular or diverse range of complementary therapies, and stands as a beacon of excellence in the profession.
Criteria: Client care quality, depth and/or breadth of services, community involvement, and outstanding clinic, spa or retreat management.
Student Achievement Award
Honouring Future Trailblazers
This CMA Award celebrates a CMA Registered Student who has achieved academic excellence and demonstrated leadership or innovation within the field. Their efforts promise to shape the future of complementary medicine.
Criteria: Exceptional academic performance, leadership skills, research contributions, and community engagement.
CMA Honorary Fellows Awards
Celebrating Dedication to The CMA and the Field
Reserved for remarkable individuals, this Award recognises those who have shown extraordinary commitment to the advancement of complementary medicine and to The CMA itself. This is a rare and deeply meaningful honour. The winner will win a special accolade: CMA Honorary Fellow along with their plaque and certificate.
Criteria: All CMA Members in any category are welcome to enter for this Award – providing that they can demonstrate dedication to the development of complementary medicine overall and a commitment to growth and development of The CMA.
Note: An Honorary Fellow of The CMA does not need to be a Practitioner, Teacher or other – this CMA Award and recognition is all about the contribution the person makes to the field.
CMA Approved Supplier of the Year Award
Celebrating Dedication to The CMA and the Field
Reserved for remarkable companies, this Award recognises those companies who have shown extraordinary commitment to the advancement of complementary medicine and natural healthcare – and to The CMA itself.
Criteria: All CMA Approved Supplier Members are welcome to enter for this award – providing that they can demonstrate dedication to the development of complementary medicine overall and a commitment to growth and development of The CMA. Similarly – any existing CMA Approved Supplier can be nominated for this Award.
Important Information About The CMA Awards
Nomination Process: CMA Members are allowed to nominate themselves or others (individuals or companies – depending upon the Award category) that they admire and whom they believe are making an important contribution to complementary medicine.
Number of Categories: You may enter as many categories as you wish – but please ensure that they are appropriate.
Entry deadline: Please ensure all entries are submitted by 31st July 2025. No Entries will be accepted after that date.
The Judges: The CMA Awards Judging Panel will be made up of leading industry professionals and established lay people who have a demonstrable expertise in business growth and development.
Awards Ceremony: The CMA Awards will be hosted at The CMA’s Annual Conference in 25th October 2025. This will be the ideal occasion to host these important and exciting Awards and to celebrate the winners and showcase their contributions to the field.
Recognition: Winners will receive a stunning commemorative plaque, a certificate, and publicity through CMA’s channels (newsletter, website and across all our social media) to build your profile.
The CMA Awards can serve to not only recognise the hard work and achievements of our Members but also to inspire others within the community to strive for excellence and innovation in their own fields.
You may enter yourself or nominate someone for more than one Award category – however, please ensure that you are entering categories correctly and appropriately. Incorrect entries will be discarded, so please check before submitting the form.
If you are nominating a person or company other than yourself, please ensure that you have their permission to do so. Please note: Unlike some other awards ceremonies, there is no fee to enter The CMA Awards, and no fee to receive an award! These are based purely on merit and not upon a person’s ability to pay.
