I have supported the training and professional development of managers and their staff in a wide range of health and social care settings: specialist dementia care, nursing, residential settings, and supported living accommodation; i provided learning and support for carers’ groups in Devon for them to learn more about dementia and how it may affect their loved ones. I have a 28 year career as a consultant trainer in the adult and community, education and health and social care sector.
I also work as a specialist SpLD teacher and specialist 1:1 mentor in higher education across England and Wales, supporting undergraduate, post-graduate and PhD students with autism, ADHD, dyslexia, dyspraxia and/or with a range of co-occurring conditions, for example cPTSD, OCD, depression, anxiety. I provide tailored strategies to students and private clients for their mental health and wellbeing and study skills needs. I am a researcher in both quantitative and qualitative psychological research, and pursuing a PhD in the practice of presence and meditation towards improvement in academic performance of neurodivergent adult females.
