Dr John Payne

I am a Chartered Psychologist registered as a specialist in psychotherapy. I have worked as a psychotherapist since 1995 part-time and full-time since 2010. I am interested in helping people with mental health issues and those suffering the results of trauma. I have worked in a variety of settings including the NHS, the Armed Forces and the voluntary sector. I now work in private practice, mostly online but also face to face. I work to establish a safe and confidential environment to help you talk about what concerns you. Therapy is a journey and is often a difficult process and to be successful a good level of trust needs to be built up between you, the client and therapist. The role of a therapist is to help you resolve your issues and to equip you with the tools and strategies to achieve your goals. I use a variety of tools to help you, including, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Emotional Freedom Technique, the Person Centred Approach and the highly effective, Rewind technique, for trauma treatment, which is part of the Human Givens Approach. I am also a recognised therapist to help treat the trauma of Childhood Emotional Neglect. Please get in touch if you think I can help you. My email address is:
