Barry Taylor

Barry Taylor is a gelotologist and qualified Laughter Therapist, and runs Laugh Therapy UK. He is also a fully insured, affiliate and registered member of The Complimentary Medical Association (CMA) and The International Alliance of Holistic Therapists (IAHT).

 

Through Laugh Therapy UK he offers bespoke, one to one Laugh Therapy programmes (both online and home visits), group based Laugh Clubs, Laughter Workshop events for schools, hospitals and care homes, seminars and corporate training in laughter for mental and physical wellness and stress reduction. 
 
Barry is a first class BA Honours graduate in Performance and Media, where he specialised in Humour and Comedy. He is also a Cambridge University post-graduate in education (PGCE). He previously spent 13 years working in secondary, sixth-form and adult education as a Lead Practitioner, an Advanced Skills Teacher and teacher trainer.  Since completing his therapist diploma (with a 96% distinction), he is now a full-time Laughter Therapist and researcher, writing on humour, comedy and the physical and mental health benefits of mirthful laughter.
