Kirsty Paterson

Hello, my name is Kirsty Paterson and I am the founder and owner of the Awakened Mind.

I am a fully qualified mindfulness practitioner with silver membership of the international alliance of holistic therapists and also of the NLP and coaching.

We so often life our lives on autopilot, failing to notice the beauty of life and what our own bodies tell us.

We become stuck in a mechanical way of thinking and doing.

At the Awakened Mind we practice Mindfulness by maintaning a moment by moment awareness of our thoughts and feelings, with a non judgemental attitude.

In turn this practice helpes to improve both mental and phyisical health and wellbeing.

I work on a one to one basis from the comfort of the clients own home and surroundings, However small groups can also be taken.

For further information please dont hesitate to send a message or visit my website www.theawakenedmind.co.uk

I chose to practice Mindfulness after under going an eight week session that my own GP set up for me.

For around 18 years i battled with depression and found the world and everyone in it a very dark place. I tried everything from medication to counselling sessions. It was during one of these sessions that I was advised to go along to an eight week mindfulness course that was about to start.

I gave it a go, not expecting much from it as nothing else seemed to have helped.

By the end of the eight weeks I was hooked. I had fallen in love with Mindfulness and all it had to offer. I began to re-build my life and even started to enjoy myself.

I decided this was what I wanted to do, I wanted to study hard to help others improve their lives through mindfulness and meditation.
