The Holistic Coach House/Inessentia

Inessentia provides training in Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR). These courses are based on the framework by the founder of MBSR, Jon- Kabat Zinn. Occasionally mindfulness workshops are held (non- certificate) for the public, and experienced practitioners of mindfulness, to promote well-being. A Mindfulness Teacher Training Course, which is accredited by the Complementary Medical Association is delivered by Jilly Edmudson. Jilly has ten years’ experience of mindfulness practice, and is currently researching mindfulness in Health and Social Care, towards an MSc in Psychology. Other relevant qualifications include a Professional Certificate in Education, certified Yoga Instructor, and BSc with Honours in Complementary Medicine and Health Sciences. The Holistic Coach House provides training in holistic therapies. Certified courses include Swedish Body Massage, Indian Head Massage, Crystal Healing (ACHO accredited), Reiki- (Level 1, 2 and Master/ Teacher, Reflexology, and Hot Stone Reflexology. Throughout the year workshops and courses are provided to promote self- development and well-being.

What did you like most about the course/ workshop? - That there were only 2 of us and Jill teaching which was great. You felt you were learning at your own pace.

Do you have any other comments? - I love taking courses at Tithe Barn. The atmosphere is so relaxing, you have such nice volunteers to practice on who give good feedback and Jill is so laid back and patient when you think you've got it wrong.

What did you like most about the course/ workshop? - The amount of 'hands-on' practice that was made available as I found it is the best way to learn.

What did you least like about the course/workshop? - There was nothing I didn't like, it was all a great learning experience.

What did you like most about the course/ workshop? - It was informal
relaxing and a lovely atmosphere, with a very chilled teacher.

What did you least like about the course/workshop? - There wasn't anything to not like.

Were your learning objectives met? - So far, my learning objectives have been met, but I still have more to learn.

Did the course/ workshop stimulate your interest? - Definately. I want to learn more.

Do you have any other comments? - For me, it was a great place to learn a new skill in my mature years. I really wanted to take this qualifcation, but was worried that the only way was to go back to College or Uni, where I may have been out of my comfort zone amongst much younger people. So I was delighted to find Jill and learn on a virtual one to one basis.

What did you least like about the course/workshop? - I could have easily stayed longer, the time went so fast!!

What did you like most about the course/ workshop? - Practising the mindfulness exercises. Jill's easy-going teaching manner, the cakes and meeting the others who attended the course with me.
